We warranty that the Diamond is a natural diamond with each of the characteristics stated on the Certificate at the time of sale subject only to the following: “Warranty” means this document; “we,” “us” and “our” refer to Vena Amors Jewelry LLC; also known as Vena Amors “Certificate” means the GIA certificate that accompanies your item Warranty, if applicable; “Diamond” means the diamond identified in the GIA Certificate or if your diamond is not certified, it refers to the center stone; “Jewelry” means the item of jewelry containing the Diamond; “you” and “your” refer to you, the first purchaser of the Jewelry. If the Diamond is not as promised in the GIA Certificate (if applicable), we will replace the Diamond with a diamond that meets or exceeds each of the characteristics warranted.
This Warranty remains in effect for one year from the date of purchase or as long as you own the diamond or Jewelry, whichever comes first.
If you make a claim under this Warranty, you must allow us to:
Examine the original copy of the Certificate;
Try and resolve your claim amicably;
Inspect the Jewelry and any gemological evaluation on which you base your claim;
Remove the Diamond from the Jewelry for gemological examination; and
Have the Diamond examined by an independent gemological laboratory.
We will initially respond to your claim as soon as possible, but no later than 60 days after we have received your claim. If the diamond is being examined by an independent gemological laboratory, the response to such a claim is no later than 360 days.
This Warranty is subject to the conditions stated in the Certificate and those stated below:
This warranty covers only the lack of conformity of the Diamond with each of the characteristics stated on the Certificate at the time of sale and does not cover damage to the Diamond that occurs after the date of sale;
The condition of the Diamond will be determined by examination under no greater than 10x magnification and by standard gemological techniques;
If we have provided you with a plot or diagram mapping the interior or exterior features of the Diamond, that plot or diagram has been provided for identification purposes only and the presence or absence of a feature on the plot or diagram will not be covered by this Warranty;
The accuracy of angles and linear measurements will be determined by the following tolerances: ±0.2º and ±0.02 millimeters; and
The absence of enhancements will be determined by gemological tests generally in use at the time of sale, this warranty does not cover CVD diamonds that have passed GIA laboratory standards that the GIA at the time of testing report as natural.
Setting or removing a loose diamond purchased from us by anyone other than us, or our approved affiliates will null and void this warranty.
We warranty that finished jewelry is within the approved metal purity standards set within the state of Illinois in the United States for 14K, 18K 21K, 22K and Platinum.
Finished jewelry warranty remains in effect for one year from the date of purchase or as long as your own the finished jewelry, whichever comes first.
Lifetime Manufacturer Warranty
If a warranty claim requires a replacement, Vena Amors may, in its discretion, replace with like-kind or allow a refund equal to the selling price of the original item or component.
If we determine that the damage is not caused by a manufacturing defect, then we will notify you and let you know if repair services are available at cost or otherwise.
Please note that slight irregularities and variations in craftsmanship or natural characteristics, or internal inclusions, visible or otherwise, in gemstones are unique and individual to each item. These characteristics are considered as part of the character of the item, and should not be considered a defect.
Complimentary Cleaning and Inspection Services on Diamond Rings We recommend having your diamond ring cleaned and inspected every six months or if it undergoes any potential trauma. Inspections may help prevent the loss of a stone and extend the life of your jewelry. Cleaning and inspection service is free of charge to Vena Amors customers on their Vena Amors diamond rings. The customer only pays for shipping, and Blue Nile pays for return shipping. Repairs to your ring mounting can also be done at this time at a cost. Please contact us for complimentary cleanings.
The foregoing Manufacturer Warranty and Complimentary Services are available only to the person who purchased the covered product from Vena Amors.
Maintenance, repair, sizing or other service performed by someone other than Blue Nile will void your Manufacturer Warranty.
Fine jewelry is not impervious to normal wear, activities or trauma. This is particularly true for rings since hands are regularly subjected to considerable abuse. We do not provide warranties for damage due to normal wear, product loss, loss of stones or theft. Damage or loss that results from failure to obtain repairs necessary to maintain the integrity of the product are also not covered.
Some examples of common jewelry issues that would not be considered manufacturing defects include: Discoloration due to exposure to chemicals, make-up, swimming pools, hot tubs or bathing. Prongs and precious metals, in general, wear over time and may require “building up” or restoration work as normal wear. Bent, caught or worn out prongs(s) allowing a stone to fall out or be lost due to normal wear or other damage. Lost stone or a stone has fallen out due to chipping or breaking caused by normal wear or other damage.
Vena Amors warranty does not cover any center stone that has fallen out of a setting that results in a lost diamond.
Amors Rewards Gold members increase the original warranty by 30 days and Amors Rewards Diamond members increase the original warranty by 60 days; all other terms and conditions remain the same.
Investment grade diamonds gold and coins are not warrantied.
This Warranty does not affect your statutory rights.
